Education VICÂ introduces St Luke's Primary School Lalor in Lalor, for all your education and learning needs.
St. Luke’s School was opened in 1961 and is situated in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. In 2011 the school will celebrate the golden jubilee of the school, giving thanks for 50 years of Catholic education being provided to the Lalor area.
St. Luke’s School is in a unique situation regarding its status as a Parish School. Its students, and therefore the families it serves, come from a wide geographic area.
In 2011 St. Luke’s has an enrolment of 361 students who come from 28 different cultural backgrounds with students with a Language Background other than English being 52.6% of our school population. Whilst we regard this as an absolute positive, it means that curriculum provision needs to be specifically designed to meet the wide variation of needs of our students and these factors also impact on student outcomes.
Welcome to St Luke's Primary School Lalor one of the popular educators in your Lalor area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
