Education VICÂ introduces Springbrook State School in Springbrook, for all your education and learning needs.
Springbrook State School is situated on approximately 3.2 hectares (7 acres) of land which is maintained regularly by the groundsperson and community working bees when necessary. In the school grounds the students have access to two adventure playgrounds, a practice cricket pitch, sandpit, as well as the huge open area that the site provides.
With its large cleared play area, the school is a designated landing site for the Care Flight helicopter. Annual visits by the helicopter to the school demonstrate the importance of having such a valuable, fast response rescue service.
The school is made up of three main buildings. There is the administration block, the early education centre and the amenities block. A double teaching area, school library, staffroom and office area are situated within the administration block.
The large undercover area is ideal for play on rainy Springbrook days and the covered walkways allow easy access to all areas. Two storage sheds house sporting equipment and cleaning supplies at one end of the covered area.
With an enrolment of approximately 30 students there are two multi-age classes - the Prep to Year 3 class in the Early Education Centre and the Year 4 to 7 class located in the administration block.
Smaller class numbers allow the students to receive more individual attention and access to class equipment and resources. The learning environment is like a family group where students are encouraged to help each other and exhibit behaviours that build a supportive and educational atmosphere.
Welcome to Springbrook State School one of the popular educators in your Springbrook area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
