The Australian Industry Trade College (AITC) is a senior College with a trade focus for Year 11 and 12 students. Students at the AITC complete their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) whilst starting a paid apprenticeship in the trade career of their choice.
As a co-educational college, the AITC has over 600 apprenticeships and traineeships on offer. The Australian Industry Trade College supports the young person’s search for a suitable apprenticeship by employing employment consultants whose role it is to liaise with employers and to coach and mentor them in an apprenticeship in industry.
The Australian Industry Trade College is not a traditional trade college as it was founded to support industry’s need for better educated apprentices and trainees. Feedback from our industry partners attests to the positive learning culture of the college as demonstrated by the many testimonials from our employers and parents. Starting their school based apprenticeships at the AITC gives students an early start to a productive trade career in industry.
