Education VICÂ introduces St Michaels Parish School in Ashburton, for all your education and learning needs.
St Michael's School is an integral part of the St Michael's Parish community. Fr Hien works with staff and parishioners to ensure that liturgical celebrations with children are festive, inclusive and meaningful. All families are warmly invited and encouraged to participate in the life of the Parish.
Learning and Teaching at St Michael’s is supported by the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) and the Religious Education Guidelines for Students in the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
St Michael’s has successfully created a safe, stimulating and secure learning environment. Students are strongly connected to their peers and teachers and parents are confident that their children are safe and happy and know the school cares about and understands their children. Parents comment on the positive learning climate at St Michael’s with statements like, my children want to come to school, they learn life skills and we have amazing discussions at home (Parent focus group). Programs are in place to address bullying and students are able to articulate strategies learned in these programs.
