South Grafton Public School South Grafton Public School delivers an exciting, comprehensive range of programs. We are a split campus school that focuses on individuality and creativity. Our two separate campuses, while both maintaining the positive features of a small school environment, access all the resources and expertise that a large school can facilitate. Our school boasts proactive teaching personnel that have been recognised at state and regional levels for their professionalism and dedication to the development of successful teaching programs. Some of our unique programs include - a district gifted and talented class, (known as an OC class) which boasts the largest number of state identified gifted and talented students in the Clarence Valley; enrichment classes that focus on individuality, responsibility and independent work habits; an outstanding student concert band; a specialised Kindergarten gymnastic program; a unique Pre School Playgroup Program - that prepares children for their first year in Kindergarten on a weekly basis; outstanding opportunities to compete in a variety of sporting teams including demonstration skipping team, chess and a fully equipped gym; oustanding choirs K-6 and fulltime choir master. We prioritise English,maths,technology and creativity across the curriculum. This is evidenced through our well equipped library, and our classrooms where interactive SMARTBoards are an integral component of the teaching / learning cycle. Students also have access to iPads in all classrooms, two IT centres, school blog and website and innovative programs including Minecraft, Sim on a Stick, Mangahigh Maths, Mathletics and Reading Eggs. We also offer our library cafe which is open for parents and students after school each Wednesday.
