Golden Grove Primary School provides a caring, safe and welcoming environment where students are consistently challenged to achieve their best. We believe 'Learning is central to all that we do' and this is supported by the emphasis placed on our school values: responsibility, empathy, self-worth, personal excellence, enthusiasm, collaboration and trust.
Current site priorities are providing a solid foundation, understanding and responding to difference, and learning for the future. These priorities include a specific focus on literacy and numeracy and are supported through flexible programs that meet the needs of the individuals. Issues-based learning is facilitated by class teachers and teacher librarians. As such, students are challenged to engage in deeper thinking about topical issues and to use their learning as the basis for action.
Specialist teaching and extra-curricular domains include music, expressive arts and Japanese. Students are also encouraged to participate in school and SAPSASA sporting events which are valued by the community. Further, the participation of parents in all aspects of school life is encouraged and valued.
