Established in 1994 and developing from humble beginnings, Dharmapala Buddhist Centre has become a thriving Dharma community offering classes in meditation and Buddhism for all levels of interest to the people of Western Australia. The Centre, which is in the heart of Fremantle, offers a place of spiritual refuge for those interested in living a meaningful life according to the teachings given by Buddha.
The Centre is home to a residential community of ordained and lay practitioners, and is also where we conduct many of our classes, ranging from basic meditation through to formal study programmes. We also offer classes throughout the Metropolitan area and in Albany. Drawing from the example of our lineage Gurus, the Teachers from Dharmapala Buddhist Centre endeavour to present the teachings in a practical way so that everyone can apply them in their daily life and through them come to experience greater happiness.
