Education VICÂ introduces Sir Eric Woodward Memorial School in St Ives, for all your education and learning needs.
Sir Eric Woodward Memorial School for Specific Purposes was established in 1971. The school is located on the fringe of the Ku-ring-gai National Park in the Sydney suburb of St. Ives and enjoys a close relationship with its local community.
The school has enjoyed a long partnership with the Sydney Grammar Prep School and our students enjoy the fortnightly visit from their buddies at Sydney Grammar. We enjoy a similar relationship with Ravenswood School for Girls.
We have regular community placements for therapists and student teachers as well as students fro surrounding High Schools visiting for work experience.
The school provides learning programs for students with severe intellectual and physical disabilities based on the outcomes set by the Board of Studies in the seven Key Learning Areas. The students range in age from Preschool to Senior High School with special transport provided by the Dept of Education.
Welcome to Sir Eric Woodward Memorial School one of the popular educators in your St Ives area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
