Education VICÂ introduces Wagga Wagga High School in Wagga Wagga, for all your education and learning needs.
Wagga Wagga High School was established as the first government high school in Wagga Wagga in 1912 and moved to its present site as ‘the high school on the hill’ in 1917. We are a large comprehensive, co-educational high school and draw students from five main feeder primary schools in Central Wagga, North Wagga and Forest Hill, as well as the surrounding countryside. The current school population is approximately 1050 which includes 35 students in our Special Education Support Unit, 50 indigenous students and 27 NESB students.
We aim to prepare all students for the future and encourage them to strive at all times for personal excellence. This aim is at the heart of the personal and community values that we uphold. We will achieve this aim and promote these values through a strong focus on learning, high expectations and a positive attitude to change.
Welcome to Wagga Wagga High School one of the popular educators in your Wagga Wagga area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
