Heatley SS is a co-educational primary school, located in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia. It is approximately 11 kms west of the city centre. Heatley SS is built on the land of traditional Aboriginal owners, the Wulgurugaba and Bindol peoples.
he school first opened in 1971. Since then we have tried hard as a school community to live up to our motto of “Learn, Care, Play”. The school’s enrolment is currently 669 students from Prep to Year 7.
Our main goal is to make this school a welcoming place for everyone. A place where children, parents and staff feel safe and happy and where they feel supported and respected for the individual contributions they make. While we are here to assist children in their quest to educate themselves for their role in the outside world and we take our responsibility for maintaining high educational standards very seriously, we are also committed to respecting and nurturing the individual gifts and talents that make your child unique.
