The Gap State School is a preparatory year to grade 7 primary school. It has enjoyed a proud history since its establishment in 1912 and the school is excited about celebrating its centenary in 2012. The school maxim of ‘Proud of our past, realising our potential and ready for the future’ drives our teaching and learning. Today the school is renowned for its excellent music and sporting programs as well its high academic standards.
The Gap State School is nestled under the bushy slopes of Mt Coot-tha in north-west Brisbane about ten kilometres from the Brisbane CBD at the corner of Waterworks Road and Settlement Road in the suburb of The Gap.
