Welcome to Mitcham Girls High School. When you choose Mitcham you are selecting an unzoned, state school that is dedicated to providing outstanding educational opportunities for all girls.
Mitcham Girls is located in the beautiful suburb of Kingswood, just 10 minutes from the city centre and it is easily accessible by public transport.
As one of two single sex state schools, it is not zoned and it attracts students from all suburbs and near country towns.
The school offers a SHIP (Students of High Intellectual Potential) Program for selected students in Years 8, 9 and 10 and the same teaching methods are used in other classes. In the Senior School, students study a wide range of subjects accredited by the SACE Board. Currently the school is working towards the Council of International Schools accreditation.
