Education VICÂ introduces Doubleview Primary School in Doubleview, for all your education and learning needs.
Doubleview Primary School is located in the North Metropolitan Education Region and offers a comprehensive education for children from Kindergarten to Year 7.
The school has a strong academic focus and offers specialist programs in Music, Physical Education and Languages (Japanese). Staff are motivated and dedicated to providing an environment where students are both supported and challenged to achieve their full potential.
Parents and the school community are valued partners at Doubleview Primary School and continue to provide support to staff and students, guaranteeing a vibrant learning community.
Doubleview Primary School excels both academically and on the sporting fields. Competing in swimming, athletics, cross country, football and netball, the school is very competitive against opposition schools of much larger size.
In 2005 the Parents and Citizens' Association embarked on an ambitious grounds renewal project. An old Bristol building and a vast expanse of bitumen was removed from the centre of the school site and the Parents and Citizens Association worked solidly for three months installing turf, brick paving, native gardens, an amphitheatre and a new playground. The new area has become the focal point of the school and is utilised by community members after hours.
The school is very community orientated and enjoys excellent parent-teacher support. The school has a very active and supportive Parent and Citizens' Association, a motivated Parent Participation group and a hard working and effective School Council. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their children's education and are an integral and much appreciated component of many of the school's programs.
Welcome to Doubleview Primary School one of the popular educators in your Doubleview area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
