Education VICÂ introduces Assumption Catholic Primary School in Mandurah, for all your education and learning needs.
Prior to the foundation of Assumption Catholic Primary School there had been two attempts made by the Presentation Sisters to establish a Catholic School in Mandurah. in 1955, two sister started a school in the Parish Church. This continued until 1959 when, due to the drowning of three Presentation Sisters in a boating accident, the sisters were forced to close the school.
In 1962, just three years later, the Presentation Sisters again opened a Catholic School in Mandurah - this time in a small cottage on land adjoining the present site of the Presentation Convent. Due to declining numbers of students and extreme financial hardship without Government assistance, the sisters were again forced to close the school.
Assumption Catholic Primary SchoolAssumption Catholic Primary School is the third and most successful establishment of a Catholic School in Mandurah. It was planned by the Catholic Education Commission that a new Catholic systemic school would be developed in stages. It was to be under the Principalship of a Presentation Sister.
Welcome to Assumption Catholic Primary School one of the popular educators in your Mandurah area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
