Education VICÂ introduces St Pius X High School in Adamstown, for all your education and learning needs.
St Pius X HS is a junior, co-educational, Catholic secondary school, catering for students in Years 7 to 10. Our current enrolment is just over 1000 students. We belong to the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle Catholic School System.
Our High School is named after St Pius X, the first Pope of the Church canonised in the 20th Century. He is a very fitting patron of a modern high school because of his affinity with young people. The School crest (top left) is modelled on the Pope’s coat of arms. The school motto ‘Instaurare Omnia in Christo’ (Renewing all things in Christ) reminds staff and students that everything we do, we do for Christ, with the aim of making our world a better place for all.
St Pius X High School has as its foundation the Gospel of Jesus Christ as expressed in the beliefs and traditions of the Catholic Church. We strive to be a community that is faithful to the Gospel values in word and action.
Our community is built on the promotion of mutual respect and we work to make our school one that encourages growth and achievement. St Pius is a place where students are encouraged to think for themselves, be confident and happy and to cultivate a balanced attitude to life. Our vision is a school community that is authentically Catholic, just, caring and sensitive to the needs of all its members and committed to inspiring all students to do their best.
Welcome to St Pius X High School one of the popular educators in your Adamstown area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
