St Joseph's Primary School is a Kindergarten to Year 6 school, catering to the religious and educational needs of the children in the local area.
St Joseph's Primary School, Charlestown, was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph in 1927. In 1975 it was relocated to its present site. Fundamental to the formal curriculum, is the desire to develop a firm conviction and a strong faith in each child's personal relationship with God, each other and the wider community.
The school assists children to acknowledge that everybody is important, particularly the poor, marginalised and powerless. It welcomes diversity and rejoices in its enriching potential in a world which is the arena where God writes the agenda for the Church.
