Education VICÂ introduces Warrah School in Dural, for all your education and learning needs.
Warrah School is a private special school for children with intellectual disabilities. It offers placement for day pupils.
Warrah School aims to provide a high quality, individualised education for students with intellectual disabilities, based on the education philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, and in accordance with the New South Wales Disabilities Act (1993) and the requirements of the New South Wales Department of Education. The goal of the School is to provide an environment and a quality of education to help each student to succeed to the best of his or her abilities.
Warrah believes that each individual has the right to a full, balanced education and should not be deprived of a wide ranging curriculum because of developmental or intellectual disability. Each student should have an individual education plan which is regularly updated in consultation with his or her parents or guardians.
Regular liason and discussion with parents is encouraged to view I.E.P.s (Individual Educational Programs) with all teachers and therapists. Daily communication books assist the familiarity with parents of the school's activities and the progress of the students.
Welcome to Warrah School one of the popular educators in your Dural area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
