Balcatta Senior High School, situated in Perth's northern suburbs, is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in all learning areas.
We offer a full range of subjects across all learning areas and provide specialist programs in Art, Dance and Graphic Art. We also have an excellent soccer program.
The school has a strong reputation for its Gifted & Talented Visual Arts program which is part of the Department of Education’s Gifted and Talented Education Program, an elite education curriculum which helps gifted and talented students to excel in the Arts.
Learning Technologies have become everyday teaching tools used by both teachers and students and continues to play an increasingly important role in all aspects of the school’s learning and teaching programs. The school is well equipped with its network, including wireless access to the internet.
In 2009 Balcatta Senior High School trialled a One – to – One Laptop Program. This has continued with other groups in the school.
Our dedicated teaching staff and excellent facilities support students for successful entry to university, TAFE and other vocational programs or employment. A personalised learning program is provided for each student which incorporates an individual career planning portfolio, extension or remediation programs, leadership development and extensive academic counselling.
